This album presents the results of the Programme on Technical and Financial Assistance offered by the Romanian Government for pre-school institutions in the Republic of Moldova. We want for this publication to serve as an inspiration and best practice for the local authorities in the Republic of Moldova.

Thank to the financial support of the Romanian grant and MSIF expertise, we managed to open the doors of new kindergartens after many years, during which parents had to take their children to neighbouring villages for them to benefit from pre-school education or they had to keep children at home. We replaced heating systems in 150 kindergartens, of which 50 were heated by rocket mass heaters as long ago as last winter.

Children are happy about new furniture brought to 531 kindergartens, as well as about playgrounds equipped with slides, swings, other safe and new play complexes.

We are grateful for the significant support Romania offerred to improve the conditions in the kindergartens of the Republic of Moldova, thus contributing to daily building of a better future for children in our country.

Improving conditions in the educational system of the Republic of Moldova is one of the primary objectives of the assistance Romania offers.

Direct beneficiaries of investments into school infrastructure are children attending the kindergartens refurbished under this programme, but also their parents and, last but not least, their teachers. Overall, the entire society of the Republic of Moldova will benefit from the results of the Programme of Technical and Financial Assistance offered by the Romanian Government for pre-school institutions in the Republic of Moldova.

Romania will permanently support the Republic of Moldova and it is our common interest for this support to produce visible, direct and long-term results for as many citizens of the Republic of Moldova as possible. To this end, a new contribution of five million Euro will be allocated for the same programme in order to increase the number of beneficiaries of the support coming from Romania. The programme funded by the Government of Romania covers 774 pre-school institutions in 32 districts for now.

Romania believes that European standards of wellbeing and quality of living standard should become a reality for the Republic of Moldova as soon as possible.

Din cauza acoperiului deteriorat, a ferestrelor i uilor vechi, n perioada rece a anului n ncperi era frig. La exterior, s-a fcut izolarea termic a cldirii i s-a renovat faada. Grdinia Andrie ncepe acum o alt via. Copiii, cea mai mare bogie a noastr, vor avea parte de un confort deosebit, a spus primarul oraului Ungheni, Alexandru Ambros.

Since its opening 35 years ago, the kindergarten Andrie from the town of Ungheni wasnt subject to capital repair. It used to be very cold inside the building because its roof, doors and windows were wornout. The site around the building wasnt repaired either, therefore during rainy days there was a lot of mud in the yard.

The kindergarten changed critically thank to the financial support of the Romanian Government. The grant offered through Moldova Social Investment Fund helped to fully replace the roof of the entire building.

Outside walls and the facade of the building were thermally insulated, paving was built and bathrooms were repaired. But the 325 attending children were, of course, most happy about a new playground, which was equipped with new pavillions, slides and swings.

Now children are happy to come to the kindergarten, they are
