Introducere

Acest catalog contine informatii referitoare la instalarea si pu-nerea in functiune a intrerupatoarelor de medie tensiune tipHD4.Pentru o utilizare cat mai corecta a acestui tip de intreru-pator va rugam sa cititi cu atentie acest manual.Pentru montarea accesoriilor si/sau pieselor de rezerva varugam sa cititi paragraful referitor la aceasta parte.Ca orice aparat fabricat de ABB, intrerupatorul tip HD4 afost proiectat pentru functionarea in diferite configuratii.Aceste aparate pot acoperii diferite variante tehnico-constru-ctive (la cerearea clientului) pentru a asigura cerintele specialede instalare.Din acest motiv, informatiile prezentate in cele ce urmeazanu vor acoperii intotdeauna configuratiile speciale.

Separat fata de acest manual, este necesar a se tine cont intotdeauna de ultimile documente tehnice disponibile(diagrame circuite secundare, desene de asamblare si insta-lare, etc.), in special cand se face referire la variante diferitede configuratiilor standard.

Toate operatiile de instalare, punere in fuctiune,operare si mentenanta trebuie realizate de catre personal cu calificare in domeniul instalatiilorelectrice.

Pentru asigurarea mentenantei intrerupatoarelor se vor folo-si intotdeauna numai piese de rezerva originale.Pentru informatii suplimentare, va rugam sa consultati catalogul intrerupatoarelor si al pieselor de schimb.

Programul de protectie a mediului inconjurator

Intrerupatoarele tip HD4 sunt construite in conformitate custandardele ISO 14000.Sistemul de productie al fabricii de Echipamente de MedieTensiune asigura protectia mediului inconjurator in toateetapele de fabricare a echipamentelor.Impactul asupra mediului inconjurator in perioada de functiona-re este impus de procedura LCA-Life Cycle Assessment, careeste totodata rezultatul unei atentii acordate la alegerea mate-rialelor, contruirii, etc.Modul de construire a intrerupatoarelor este facut astfel incatla depasirea perioadei de viata a echipamentului sa se poata realiza o separe usoara a toturor subansamblurilor, pentru optimizarea procesului de reciclare.

Introduction

This publication contains the information necessary for instal-lation and putting into service of HD4 medium voltage circuit-breakers.For correct usage of the product, please read this manualcarefully.For correct mounting of accessories and/or spare parts pleaserefer to the relevant instructions.Like all the apparatus manufactured by us, the HD4 circuit-breakers are designed for different installation configurations.They do, however, allow further technical-constructional vari-ations (at the customer’s request) to suit special installationrequirements.For this reason, the information given below does not alwayscover special configurations.

Apart from this booklet, it is therefore always necessary to referto the latest technical documentation available (circuit dia-gram, wiring diagrams, assembly and installation drawings,any studies of protection co-ordination, etc.), especially withregard to any variations from standardized configurationsrequested.

All the operations regarding installation, puttinginto service, operation and maintenance must becarried out by suitably qualified personnel with in-depth knowledge of the apparatus.

Only use original spare parts for maintenance operations.For further information, also see the technical catalogue of thecircuit-breaker and the spare parts catalogue.

Programme for the environmental protection

The HD4 circuit-breakers comply with ISO 14000 Standards(Guidelines for the Environmental Management).The production system of the Medium Voltage factories com-plies for the environmental protection in terms of energyconsumption, raw materials and waste.The environmental impact of the product life cycle is assessedby the LCA - Life Cycle Assessment procedure, which is alsothe result of a well-focused project phase in the selection ofmaterials, processes and packaging.Production techniques are carried out in order to achieve aneasy dismantling and separation of the components at the endof the circuit-breaker life cycle, while optimizing the recyclingprocess.

2. Checking on receipt

Before carrying out any operation, always make surethat the operating mechanism dprings are dischargedand that the apparatus is in the open position.

On receipt, check the state of the apparatus, that the packing isundamaged and that the nameplate data corresponds (see fig.1) with that specified in the order acknowledgement and in thedelivery note.Also make sure that all the materials described in the shippingnote are included in the supply.If any damage or irregularity is discovered on unpacking, notifyABB (directly or through the agent or supplier) as soon aspossible and in any case within five days of receipt.The apparatus is only supplied with the accessories specified atthe time of order and confirmed in the order acknowledgementsent by ABB.The following accompanying documents are inserted in theshipping packing:– Instruction manual (this document)– Test certificate– Identification tag– Fiscal copy of shipping note– Electrical diagramThese other documents are sent prior to shipment:– Order acknowledgement– Original copy of shipping note– Any drawings or documents regarding special configurations/

conditions.

2. Receptia echipamentelor

Prima etapa la receptia unui intrerupator este verificarea pozitiei deschis a intrerupatorului sistarea nearmat a arcului mecanismului.

La receptie, se verifica integritatea aparatelor, ca ambalajulde transport nu a fost deteriorat si ca datele inscrise pe pla-cuta cu parametrii intrerupatorului (vezi fig. 1), corespund cuparametrii intrerupatoarelor contractate.Deasemenea se verifica ca toate materialele inscrise indocumentele de transport a fost livrate.Daca la receptie se constata orice deteriorari se contacteazade urgenta reprezentantii ABB.

La livrarea intrerupatoarelor acestea vor fi insotite doar de accesoriile specificate in documentele contractuale.

La livrare, intrerupatoarele sunt insotite de urmatoarele docu-mente:- Manual cu instructiuni;– Certificat de teste;– Scheme circuite secundare;

1. Impachetarea si transportul

Intrerupatoarele sunt impachetate pentru transport intr-unambalaj special, acestea fiind in pozitia deschis cu arcul ne-armat si cu presiunea de SF6 in pol la valoare de functionare.Fiecare intrerupator este protejat intr-o folie de plasticpentru a prevenii infiltrarea apei si a prafului.

1. Packing and transport

The circuit-breaker is shipped in special packing in the openposition with the springs discharged and with absolute polepressure corresponding with the service value.Each piece of apparatus is protected by a plastic film to preventany infiltration of water during the loading and unloadingstages and to keep the dust off during storage.

3. Storage

When a period of storage is foreseen, (on request) our work-shops can provide suitable packing for the specified storageconditions.On receipt the apparatus must be carefully unpacked andchecked as described in Checking on receipt (chap. 2).If immediate installation is not possible, the packing must bereplaced, using the original material supplied.La refacerea ambalajului trebuie introduse substante hygro-scopice, cel putin un pachet la coletShould the original packing not be available and immediateinstallation is not possible, store in covered, well-ventilated,dry, dust-free, non-corrosive ambients, away from any flamma-ble materials and at a temperature between –5 °C and +45 °C.In any case, avoid any accidental impacts or positioning whichstresses the structure of the apparatus.

3. Depozitarea

Daca se doreste o depozitare a echipamentelor pentru o perioada mai lunga ambalarea intrerupatoarelor se poate face(la cerere) intr-un ambalaj rezistent la conditiile de depozitare.La receptie echipamentele trebuie despachetate cu atentieiar receptia trebuie realizata in conformitate cu instructiunile de la capitolul 2.Daca instalarea echipamentelor nu se face imediat dupa re-ceptionarea trebuie refacut ambalajul folosindu-se cel existent.La refacerea ambalajului trebuie introduse substante hygro-scopice, cel putin un pachet la colet.In cazul in care ambalazul original nu se mai poate folosii,iar instalarea echipamentelor nu se face imediat, se va asiguraspatiu de depozitare astfel, un loc acoperit, bine ventilat, uscat,fara praf, fara agenti corozivi, departe de orice material infla-mabil si cu temperatura cuprinsa intre –5 °C si +45 °C.In orice caz, trebuie evitat impactul accidental al intrerupa-toarelor.

4. Manipularea echipamentelor

Inainte de manipularea intrerupatoarelor se verifica pozitiadeschis a acestuia si starea nearmat a arcului mecanis-mului de actionare.

Intrerupatoare cu tensiunea nominala de pana la 24 kV– Pentru ridicarea si manuirea intrerupatorului, se folosesc

carligele (1) (fig. 2a).– Agatarea carligelor (2) se face in gaurile cu care este

prevazut intrerupatorul.– Al termine dell’operazione (ed in ogni caso prima della

messa in servizio) sganciare l’attrezzo di sollevamento (1)(fig. 2b) e smontare la traversa (2) svitando le viti (3).

Intrerupatoare cu tensiunea nominala de pana la 36 kV– Se foloseste dispozitivul (1) pentru ridicarea si manuirea

intrerupatorului (fig. 2c).– Se agata carligele (2) ca in fig. 2d si se ridica;– La terminarea operatiei se inlatura dispozitivul (1).

Intotdeauna trebuie acordata o atentie deosebita pentru a nufi afectate partile izolante ale intrerupatorului.

La manuirea aparatului nu se vor folosiiunelte cu care ridicarea se face altfel decat ceea ces-a prezentat mai sus.

4. Handling

Before carrying out any operation, always check that theoperating mechanism springs are discharged and that theapparatus is in the open position.

Circuit-breakers up to 24 kV– To lift and handle the circuit-breaker, use the tool (1) (fig. 2a).– Put the hooks (2) in the holes prepared in the circuit-breaker

frame and lift.– On completion of the operation (and in any case before

putting into service) unhook the lifting tool (1) (fig. 2b) anddismantle the crosspiece (2) by unscrewing the screws (3).

36 kV circuit-breakers– attach the tools (1) to lift and handle the circuit-breaker

(fig. 2c);– attach the hooks (2) as illustrated in fig. 2d and lift;– on completion of the operation, remove the tools (1).

Always take great care during handling not to stress theinsulating parts and the circuit-breaker terminals.

The apparatus must not be handled by insertinglifting devices directly under the apparatus itself.Should it be necessary to use this method, placethe circuit-breaker on a sturdy supporting surface(see fig. 3).

5. Description

5.1. General features

The HD4 series are sulphur hexafluoride circuit-breakers forindoor installation. For the electrical performance, please referto the corresponding technical catalogue code 649292.For special installation conditions please ask ABB.The following versions are available:– fixed– withdrawable for CBE enclosures, CBF fixed parts and UniVer

C switchboards– withdrawable for ZS1switchboards– withdrawable for UniSafe switchboards.

5.2. Reference Standards

The HD4 series circuit-breakers comply with the followingStandards:– IEC pubbl. 60056– IEC pubbl. 60694– CEI 17-1 (file 1375)– CEI EN 60694 (file 4032)– CENELEC HD 348 S3.

5. Descriere

5.1. Caracteristici generale

Seria HD4 sunt intrerupatoare cu hexaflorurade sulf pentrufunctionare in interior. Pentru determinarea parametrilorelectrici ai interupatoarelor folositi catalogul 649292.Pentru conditii speciale de instalare contactati ABB.Sunt disponibile urmatoarele variante de intrerupatoare:– varianta fixa– vaeianta debrosabila pentru caseta CBE

– varianta debrosabila pentru celule ZS1– varianta debrosabila pentru celule UniSafe.

5.2. Standarde

5.3. Intrerupatorul varianta fixa

Varianta fixa de intrerupator (vezi fig. 4) este prevazutacu o carcasa de protectie pentru elementele de actionare siun cadru de fixare. Gaurile de fixare sunt realizate in parteainferioara a cadrului. Terminalul circuitelor secundare se aflain partea superioara a carcasei de protectie si este reprezentat printr-un sir de cleme. Surubul de punere la pamant este pepartea laterala a intrerupatorului.

5.3. Fixed circuit-breaker

The fixed circuit-breaker (see fig. 4) corresponds to the basicversion complete with a front protection shield and frame.The anchoring holes are drilled in the lower part of the frame.The terminal box, fixed on the upper protection, is available forconnection of the circuit-breaker auxiliary circuits.The earthing screw is located on the circuit-breaker side.For further details, refer to the caption of fig. 4.

5.4. Intrerupatorul varianta debrosabila

Intrerupatoarele in varianta debrosabila (vezi fig. 5) sunt disponibile pentru carcasa CBE, celule UniVer Ccelule ZS1 celule UniSafe. Acestea sunt formate dintr-uncarucior pe care este fixata structura suport a intrerupatorului.Tubul cu conductoarele pentru conectarea accesoriilor electri-ce ale mecanismului de actionare sub scoase afara prin partea superioara a capacului de protectie.Bolturile pentru activarea contactelor (brosat/debrosat), am-plasate in partea superioara a casetei CBE sau in celula, suntfixate in partea superioara a intrerupatorului.

5.4. Withdrawable circuit-breaker

The withdrawable circuit-breakers (see fig. 5) are available forCBE enclosures, CBF fixed parts, UniVer C switchboards, ZS1switchboards and UniSafe switchboards. They consist of atruck on which the supporting structure of the circuit-breakeritself is fixed. The cord with the connector (plug) for connectionof the operating mechanism electrical accessories comes outof the front protection of the circuit-breaker.The strikers for activating the contacts (connected/isolated),located in the CBE enclosure or in the switchboard, are fixed inthe top part of the circuit-breaker. The slides for activating thesegregation shutters of the medium voltage contacts of theenclosure or switchboard are fixed on the sides of the circuit-breaker. The crosspiece for hooking the circuit-breaker for theconnection/isolation operation by means of the special operat-ing lever is mounted on the front part of the circuit-breakertruck.

Intrerupatorul este prevazut cu contacte tulipa izolate. Intre-rupatorul debrosabil sunt prevazute cu blocaje speciale, pe tra-versa frontala, care permit agatarea in articulatiilor corespunza-toare in caseta. Blocajele pot fi activate doarcu manileva cu caruciorul asezat complet pe traversa.Manivela de brosare/debrosare trebuie introdusa complet. Unblojat previne avansarea caruciorului in caseta (de exemplu candseparatorul de punere la pamant este inchis). Daca carucioruleste in pozitie intermediara blocajul previne inchiderea intre-rupatorului (mecanic sau electric).La cerere, poate fi prevazut un magnet de blocare care,cand este nealimentat, impiedica actionarea caruciorului.

The circuit-breaker is completed with the tulip isolating con-tacts. The withdrawable circuit-breaker is fitted with speciallocks, on the front crosspiece, which allow hooking into thecorresponding joints in the enclosure or fixed part. The lockscan only be activated by the handles with the truck restingcompletely on the crosspiece.The activating lever (connection/isolation) must be fully in-serted. A lock prevents the truck from advancing into theenclosure or fixed part (for example when the earthing switchis closed). With the truck in the middle position betweenisolated and connected, the lock prevents closure of the circuit-breaker (both mechanical and electrical).On request, a locking magnet can be mounted on the truckwhich, when de-energised, prevents truck operation.

6. Instructiuni pentru operarea intrerupatorului

6.1. Indicatii pentru protectia muncii

Intrerupatorul HD4 asigura un grad minim de pro-tectie de IP2X daca este instalat in urmatoareleconditii:– versiunea fixa, cu sistem de protectie– versiunea debrosabila, instalat in celula.In aceste conditii, operatorul este complet prote-jat impotriva contactului accidental cu partile inmiscare.Daca trebuie realizata o operatie cu intrerupatorulscos din celula sau cu sistemul de protectie ne-realizat, trebuie asigurata o atentie marita la oriceparte aflata in miscare.Daca anumite operatii nu pot fi realizate trebuie ve-rificat ce secventa acestora este corecta si nuse forteaza interblocajele mecanice.Operatiile de brosare si de debrosare trebuie realizate gradual pentru a se prevenii oriceimpact care poate deforma interblocajele mecanice.

6. Instructions for circuit-breakeroperation

6.1. Safety indications

HD4 circuit-breakers ensure a minimum degree ofprotection IP2X if installed under the followingconditions:– fixed version, with protection netting– withdrawable version, installed in a switchboard.Under these conditions, the operator is fullyguaranteed against accidental contact with movingparts.Should any mechanical operations be carried outon the circuit-breaker outside the switchboard orwith the protection netting removed, be very carefulof any moving parts.If the operations are prevented, do not force themechanical interlocks and check that the operationsequence is correct.The racking-in and racking-out operations of thecircuit-breaker must be carried out gradually toprevent any impacts which might deform the me-chanical interlocks.

6.3. Circuit-breaker closingand opening operations (fig. 6)

Circuit-breaker operation can be manual or electrical.

a) Manual operation for spring chargingTo manually charge the closing springs, it is necessaryfully insert the charging lever into the seat (6) and turnit clockwise until the yellow indicator (7) appears.The force which can normally be applied to the charginglever fitted is 130 N. In any case, the maximum force whichcan be applied must not exceed 170 N.

b) Electrical operation for spring chargingOn request the circuit-breaker can be fitted with the followingaccessories for electrical operation:– geared motor for automatic charging of the closing springs– shunt closing release– shunt opening release.

The geared motor automatically recharges the springs aftereach closing operation until the yellow indicator (7) appears.Should there be no voltage during charging, the geared motorstops and then starts recharging the springs automaticallywhen the voltage is on again. It is, however, always possible tocomplete the charging operation manually.

c) Circuit-breaker closingThis operation can only be carried out with the closingsprings completely charged.For manual closing, push the push button (3).When there is a shunt closing release, the operation canalso be carried out with remote control by means of a controlcircuit. The indicator (4) shows that closing has been accom-plished.In case of earthing truck with making capacity, activate thekey lock (in the closed position) and remove the key. This isto prevent accidental opening operations during any main-tenance work on the installation.

d) Circuit-breaker openingFor manual opening, push the push button (2).When there is a shunt opening release, the operation canalso be carried out with remote control by means of a controlcircuit. The indicator (4) shows that opening has beenaccomplished.

6.3. Manevrele de inchidere si deschidereale intrerupatorului (fig. 6)

Actionarea intrerupatorului poate fi facuta manual sau electric.

a) Armarea manuala a arculuiPentru armarea manuala a arcului de inchidere, este nece-sara introducerea completa a manivelei in orificiul (6)si invartirea in sensul acelor de ceasornic pana apareindicatia (7).Forta ce trebuie in mod normal aplicata este de 130Nsi nu trebuie sa depaseasca 170N.

b) Armarea electrica a arculuiLa cerere intrerupatoarele pot fi prevazute cu urma-toarele accesorii pentru actionare electrica:– motoras de actionare pentru armarea automata a arcului

de inchidere– bobina de anclansare– bobina de declansare

Motorasul de actionare armeaza arcul automat dupe fiecareoperatie de inchidere. Daca tensiunea de alimentare dis-pare motorasul de actionare porneste automat la reaparitiatensiunii auxiliare. Este deasemenea posibil a se terminaarmarea manuala a arcului.

c) Inchiderea intrerupatoruluiAceasta operatie poate fi realizata doar daca arcul de in-chidere este complet armat.Pentru inchiderea manuala se apasa butonul (3).Daca intrerupatorul este prevazut cu o bobina de anclan-sare inchiderea se poate realiza de la distanta printr-uncircuit de control. Indicatorul (4) confirma inchiderea intre-ruptorului.In cazul in care caruciorul a fost pus la pamant, se activeazacheia de blocare (in pozitia inchis) si se scoate. Aceasta va prevenii deschiderea accidentala in timpul operatiilor de mentenanta.

d) Deschiderea intrerupatoruluiPentru deschiderea manuala se apasa butonul (2).Daca intrerupatorul este prevazut cu o bobina de decla-sare aceasta manevra poate fi realizata si de la distanta.Indicatorul (4) confirma deschiderea intrerupatorului.

7. Instalarea

7.1. Generalitati

Instalarea corecta este foarte importanta. Si dinacest motiv instructiunile date de catre furnizor trebuie urmarite si aplicate cu strictete. In timpulinstalarii se recomanda a folosii manusi pentrumanevrarea diferitelor parti componente.

7.2. Conditii normale de instalare

Temperatura maxima admisibila + 40 °C

Temperatura minima admisibila – 5 °C

Umiditatea relativa % < 95

Altitudine < 1000 m

Poate fi necesara ventilarea camerei in care se face instalarea.Pentru alte conditii de instalare, va rugam sa urmati indicatiiledin Standerdele (IEC 60694). Pentru cerinte de instalarespeciale va rugam sa ne contactati.Zonele in care apar treceri cu conductoare electrice trebuieprotejate impotriva accesului animalelor care ar putea cauzastricaciuni sau functionarea anormala a instalatiilor.

7.3. Operatii preliminare

– A se curata partile izolante cu o carpa uscata si curata.– A se verifica ca terminalul superior si cel inferior sunt cu-

rate si nu prezinta deformari cauzate de lovituri in timpultransportului sau depozitarii.

7.4. Instalarea intrerupatorului in varianta fixa

Intrerupatorul se poate monta direct pe suportul pus ladispozitie de catre client.Intrerupatorul, completat cu caruciorul suport, trebuie fixatpodeaua compartimentului cu tije speciale.Partile suprafetei pe care circula rotile caruciorului trebuiesa fie perfect nivelate.Zonele pe care rotile cadrului suport sau ale carucioruluicircula trebuie sa fie in acelas plan orizontal pentru a preintampina orice risc de disporsionare in suportul intre-rupatorului.Trebuie asigurat un grad minim de protectie (IP2X) de lapartea frontala la partile sub tensiune.

7.5. Instalarea intrerupatorului in var. debrosabila

Intrerupatoarele debrosabile sunt pregatite pentru instalarecasetele CBE sau diferite tipuri de celule.Introducerea sau tragerea intrerupatorului trebuie facutagradual pentru a prevenii orice soc care ar putea deforma interblocajele mecanice.Daca nu este posibila actionarea intrerupatorului, acesta nutrebuie fortat si trebuie verificat daca secventa de actionareeste corecta. Forta necesara pentru tragerea/introducereaintrerupatorului este de 260N. In cazuri extreme, forta cetrebuie aplicata nu trebuie sa depaseasca 400N.

7. Installation

7.1. General

Correct installation is of prime importance. Theinstructions given by the manufacturer must becarefully studied and followed. It is good practice touse gloves to handle the pieces during installation.

7.2. Normal installation conditions

Maximum ambient air temperature + 40 °C

Minimum ambient air temperature – 5 °C

Relative humidity % < 95

Altitude < 1000 m

It must be possible to ventilate the installation room.For other installation conditions, please follow what is indi-cated in the product Standards (IEC 60694). For specialinstallation requirements please contact us.The areas affected by the passage of power conductors orauxiliary circuit conductors must be protected against thepossible access of animals which could cause damage oranomalous service.

7.3. Preliminary operations

– Clean the insulating parts with clean dry rags.– Check that the upper and lower terminals are clean and free

of any deformation caused by shocks received duringtransport or storage.

7.4. Installation of fixed circuit-breaker

The circuit-breaker can be mounted directly on the supportingframes provided by the customer.The circuit-breaker, complete with supporting truck, must befixed to the floor of its compartment with special brackets.The parts of the floor surface on which the truck wheels restmust be perfectly level.The areas on which the supporting frames or truck wheels rest(if a truck is provided) must be on the same horizontal plane toavoid any risk of distortion in the breaker frame.Fit the isolating partitions if provided.A minimum degree of protection (IP2X) must be guaranteedfrom the front towards live parts.

7.5. Installation of withdrawable c.-breaker

The withdrawable circuit-breakers are preset for insertion inCBE enclosures, in CBE fixed parts or in the correspondingswitchboards.Insertion and racking-out of the circuit-breakers must be gradualto avoid any shocks which could deform the mechanical inter-locks.If the operations are prevented, do not force the interlocks andcheck that the operating sequence is correct. The force nor-mally applicable to the insertion/racking-out lever is 260 N. Inany case, the maximum applicable force must never exceed400 N.

7.6. Realizarea conexiunilor de putere pentruintrerupatorul in varianta fixa

7.6.1. Informatii generale

– Toate conectarile la terminalele interupatorului trebuiefacute folosindu-se materiale cu bune caracteristici electrice.

– Sectiunea conductorului se alege tinand cont de curentulnominal si curentul de scurtcircuit al instalatiei.

– In apropierea terminalelor intrerupatorului varianta fixa sauin caseta, vor fi prevazute izolatoare suport dimensionate in conformitate cu cu solicitarile electrodinamice care pot apareadatorita curentului de scurtcircuit din instalatia electrica.

7.6.2. Realizarea conexiunilor

– A se verifica ca suprafata de contact a partilor de contactsunt perfect drepte si nu prezinta parti oxidate sau deformaridatorate unor eventuale impacturi sau datorate gauriri.

– In functie de materialul conductiv si de modul de tratarea suprafetelor, se va tine cont de indicatiile prezentatein tabelul de mai jos.

7.6. Fixed circuit-breaker power circuitconnections

7.6.1. General directions

– The connections must be made using only the squares-terminals supplied with the circuit-breaker.

– Select the conductor cross-section according to the opera-ting and short-circuit current of the installation.

– Near the terminals of fixed version circuit-breakers orenclosure, provide suitable support insulators dimensionedaccording to the electrodynamic stresses that may arise fromthe short-circuit current of the installation.

– Fit the isolating partitions if provided.

7.6.2. Mounting the connections

– Check that the connection contact surfaces are perfectly flatand have no burrs, oxidation traces, or deformations due todrillings or impacts.

– Depending on the conductive material and surface treatmentused, carry out the operations indicated in the table on thecontact surface of the conductor.

Proceduri de montare

– Se vor realiza conectarile intre partile metalice si terminalaleintrerupatorului.

– Se vor folosii saibe intre suruburile de strangere sipartile de conexiune.

– Se va aplica un moment de strangere de 150Nm pentrusuruburile M16 si trebuie avut grija a nu se solicita partile izolante

– Trebuie avut grija ca conexiunile metalice sa nu introduca forte suplimentare in terminalele intrerupatorului.

– In cazul folosirii conexiunilor in cablu trebuie urmate custrictete instructiunile de instalare a capetelor terminalepentru cablu.

Mounting procedures

– Place the connections in contact with the circuit-breakerterminals.

– Interpose a spring washer and a flat washer between thehead of the bolt and the connection.

– Apply a tightening torque of 150 Nm for M16 pivots and takecare not to stress the insulating parts.

– Make sure that the connections do not exert forces on theterminals.

– In case of cable connections, carefully follow the manu-facturer’s instructions for making the cable terminals.

In cazul intrerupatoarelor instalate in caseta sau in celula va rugam sa consultati etapele de instalare prezentate in materialele tehnice corespunzatoare echipamntului.

ATENTIE!Brosarea si debrosarea intrerupatorului se face doardaca acesta este in pozitie deschis.

7.7. Punerea la pamant

Pentru varianta fixa a intrerupatoarelor se va realiza conectareala surubul marcat cu simbolul de punere la pamant.Se va curata si degresa zona de contact cu un diametru de circa 30 mm. Dupa realizarea conexiunii se va acoperii zonarespectiva cu vasilina.Pentru alegerea conductorului de punere la pamant se vatine cont de standardele in vigoare.

7.8. Conectarea circuitelor auxiliareNote– Valoare minima a sectiunii conductoarelor folosite pentru circuitele

secundare nu trebuie sa fie mai mica decat sectiune conductoarlorfolosite in interiorul intrerupatorului

– Aceste conductoare trebuie testata inainte de instalare cu 3kVca tensiune de test.

7.8.1. Intrerupatorul in varianta fixa

Conectarea circuitelor auxiliare ale intrerupatorului trebuie facutaprin intermediul unei cutii terminala montata pe intrerupa-tor.In afara intrerupatorului circuitele vor fi trase prin conductesau prin canal de cabluri.

Inainte de inlaturarea capacului mecanismului de actionare pentru acces la cutia terminala, se veri-fica ca intrerupatorul este deschis si arcul este nearmat

7.8.2. Intrerupatorul debrosabil

Circuitele secundare ale intrerupatorului debrosabil sunt com-plet cablate din fabrica. Trebuie tinut cont de schemelede circuite secundare ale casetei sau ale celulelor in care suntmontate intrerupatoarele.

7.7. Earthing

For fixed version circuit-breakers, use the screw marked withthe relative symbol to effect the earthing.Clean and degrease the surrounding area for a diameter ofabout 30 mm. After completion of the assembly, cover theentire joint with vaseline.Use a conductor (busbar or braid) with a cross-section asindicated in the Standards in force.

7.8. Auxiliary circuit connectionNotes– The minimum cross-section of the wires used for the auxiliary

circuits must not be less than that used for internal wirings. Theymust also be insulated for 3 kV test voltage.

– Before carrying out the connection of the auxiliary circuits, it isadvisable to check the selected type of automatism provided foroperation of the pressure switch (if provided) referring to the latesttechnical documentation supplied by ABB.

7.8.1. Fixed circuit-breaker

The connection of the circuit-breaker auxiliary circuits must bemade via the terminal box mounted on the circuit-breakerstructure.Outside the circuit-breaker the wires must run inside appropri-ately earthed metal tubes or ducts.

Before removing the operating mechanism cover toaccess the terminal box, make sure that the circuit-breaker is open and the closing springs discharged.

7.8.2. Withdrawable circuit-breaker

The auxiliary circuits of the withdrawable circuit-breaker arefully cabled in the factory as far as the connector. For theexternal connections, please refer to the electric diagram of theCBE enclosure or of the switchboard.

8. Punerea in functiune

8.1. Proceduri generale

Toate operatiile specifice de punere in functiune trebuie realizate de catre personal ABB sau de catre personalul desemnat de catre client cu conditiaca acesta sa aiba cunostinte si experinta referitoarela lucru cu aparate si instalatii electrice.Daca nu se poate realiza o manevra va rugam sa veri-ficati secventa de manevre si sa nu se fortezerealizarea manevrei.Forta necesara pentru realizarea manevrelor este indicata la paragraful 6.3.

Inainte de punerea echipamentului in functiune trebuie reali-zate urmatoarele verificari:– se va verifica etansietatea conexiunilor de putere ale termi-

nalelor intrerupatorului;– se stabileste setarea pentru declansarea de supracurent

primita de la un releu (daca acesta este livrat);– se verifica ca valoarea tensiunii auxiliare se incadreaza in

intervalul 85% si 110% din valoarea nominala a tensiu-nii auxiliare necesara intrerupatorului;

– se verifica daca in mecanismul de actionare nu a fost introdus un corp strain;

– se verifica ca exista o buna ventilati de aer la locul deinstalare a intrerupatorului pentru a prevenii supraincalzirea;

– se verifica urmatoarele:

8. Putting into service

8.1. General procedures

All the operations regarding putting into servicemust be carried out by ABB personnel or customerpersonnel who are suitably qualified and have an in-depth knowledge of the apparatus and installation.If the operations are prevented, do not force themechanical interlocks, but check that the operationsequence is correct.The operating forces which can be applied areindicated in paragraph 6.3.

Before putting the circuit-breaker into service carry out thefollowing operations:– check the tightness of the power connections on the circuit-

breaker terminals;– establish the setting of the direct solid-state overcurrent

release (if provided);– check that the value of the supply voltage for the auxiliary

circuits is within 85% and 110% of the rated voltage of theelectrical devices;

– check that no foreign body, such as packaging, has got intothe moving parts;

– check that air circulation in the circuit-breaker installation siteis adequate so that there is no danger of overheating;

– carry out the checks indicated in the following table:

9. Verificarile periodice

Inainte de a incepe orice operatii de verificareasigurativa ca arcul mecanismului de actionare nu este armat si intrerupatorul este deschis.

9.1. Generalitati

In conditii normale de functionare intrerupatorul este faramentenanta. Frecventa si tipul verificarilor depind de con-ditiile de functionare ale intrerupatorului. Trebuie tinut contde diferiti facotori ca: numarul de actionari, valoarea curentuluiintrerupt, factorul de putere si mediul de lucru.In urmatorul paragraf este prezentat un tabel in care indicaintervalele de timp recomandate pentru verificari.

9.2. Programul de verificare

9. Periodical checking

Before carrying out any operation, make sure thatthe operating mechanism springs are dischargedand that the apparatus is in the open position.

9.1. General

During normal service, the circuit-breakers are maintenance-free. The frequency and sort of inspections basically dependon the service conditions. Various factors must be taken intoaccount: frequency of operations, interrupted current values,relative power factor and the installation ambient.The following paragraph gives the checking programme table,showing the relevant time intervals.As far as the time interval between these operations is con-cerned, it is advisable to comply with specifications given in thetable, at least during the first check. On the basis of the resultsobtained during the periodic inspections, set the optimal timelimits for carrying out the following operations.

CRITERIUCRITERIA

Intrerupatorul trebuie sa functioneze normal faraopriri in pozitii intermediare.

The circuit-breaker must operate normally withoutstopping in intermediate positions

Izolatorul din rasina nu trebuie sa prezinte urme dedescarcari partiale, praf, mizerie, etc.

The parts in resin must be free of any accumulation ofdust, dirt, cracks, discharges or traces of surfacedischarges.

Elementele mecanismului nu trebuie sa prezinte nicio deformare, iar suruburile, piulitele trebuie sa fie stranse

The elements must be free of any deformation.Screws, nuts, bolts, etc. must be tight.

Contactele izolante nu trebuie sa fie deformate sau erodate.Elementele contactelor vor fi degresate.

The isolating contacts must be free of any deforma-tion or erosion.Lubricate the contact elements with grease type 5RXMoly.

10. Maintenance operations

Maintenance must only be carried out by ABB per-sonnel or in any case by suitably qualified cus-tomer personnel who have in-depth knowledge ofthe apparatus (IEC 60694, CEI EN 60694 para. 10.4.2.).Should the maintenance by carried out by the cus-tomer’s personnel, responsibility for any interven-tions lies with the customer.Replacement of any parts not included in the “Listof spare parts/accessories” (para. 12.1.) must onlybe carried out by ABB personnel.In particular:– Complete pole with bushings/connections– Operating mechanism– Closing spring unit– Opening spring.

11. Indications for handlingapparatus with SF6

SF6 in its pure state is an odourless, colourless, non-toxic gaswith a density about six times higher than air.For this reason, although it does not have any specific physi-ological effects, it can produce the effects caused by lack ofoxygen in ambients saturated with SF6.During the interruption phase of the circuit-breaker, an electricarc is produced which decomposes a very small amount ofSF6. The decomposition products remain inside the poles andare absorbed by special substances which act as molecularsieves.The probability of contact with decomposed SF6 is extremelyremote, and its presence in small quantities (1-3 ppm) isimmediately noticeable because of its sour and unpleasantsmell. In this case, the room must be aired before anybodyenters it.

11. Indicatii pentru manipulareaaparatelor cu SF6

SF6 este un gaz pur, fara miros, fara culoare, netoxic, cu odensitate de sase ori mai mare decat cea a aerului.Din acest motiv, desi acesta nu are nici un efect psihologic,poate cauza lispa oxigenului intr-un mediu bocat de SF6.In timpul procesului de intrerupere, arcul electric produce descompunerea unei mici cantitati de SF6.Produsele rezultate in urma descompunerii raman in interiorul polului si sunt absorbite de o substanta speciala care actioneaza ca osita moleculara.Probabilitatea de a intra in contact cu SF6 descompus este foartemica, si prezenta in cantitati foarte mici (1-3 ppm) este imediat observata deoarece miroase neplacut si are un gust acru.In acest caz camera trebuie aerisita inainte ca orice persoanasa intre acolo.

12. Piese de rezerva si accesorii

Toate operatiile de inlcocuire a anumitor suban-sable sau accesorii ale intrerupatoarelor trebuie de catre personal cu calificare ridicata in domeniulechipamentelor si instalatiilor electrice. Inainte de realizarea oricarei operatii trebuie verificat ca intre-rupatorul este in pozitia deschis, arcul dezarmat sise verifica lipsa tensiunii (medie tensiune si ten-siunea de alimentare auxiliara).

12. Spare parts and accessories

All assembly operations of spare parts/accessoriesregarding installation, putting into service, serviceand maintenance must be carried out by ABB per-sonnel or suitably qualified customer personnel within-depth knowledge of the apparatus (IEC 60694, CEIEN 60694 para. 10.4.2.). Should the maintenance bycarried out by the customer’s personnel, responsi-bility for any interventions lies with the customer.Before carrying out any operation, check that thecircuit-breaker is open, the springs discharged andthat there is no voltage (medium voltage circuit andauxiliary circuits).
