The following is a list of projects and training
that I have completed or am currently working on.
IT Assessment Process
The point of the assessment is to clearly understand the
business problem, the impact, desired outcomes and
timelines. All of this input is weighed against a high level
solution and estimate from IT. Be wary of overlooking impacted systems and
functional areas and avoid getting too detailed in your
requirements gathering.
Step 1 - Initial Review• Review the remedy details• Review the comments in the
enhancement tracking spreadsheet
• Understand which user group the request is for
• Understand which system flow the request is for
• Which functional areas are impacted?
• What systems are being used?• What info can you find on the wiki
for the functional area/systems.
Step 2 - Gather Requirements from Business• Meet with requestor and functional
lead for the user group• Go through demo of the problem• Ask them to show you examples• Ask questions to get full details of
the issue• Etc…
