RESEARCH AND FIELD WORK
Received grant money to pursue interdisciplinary research project. Collected art historical evidence independently, developing a research paper and a digital arts project over the course of six months.
Entered grant project into a university-‐wide juried competition. Received “Library Prize Honorable Mention” for this work.
Interviewed assistant curator for Dumbarton Oaks Museum, Washington D.C. Collected data from Byzantine objects and the museum archives.
MEDIA PRODUCTION
Assistant editor on documentary senior project The Cooper, director Ian Rose. Grip crew member on narrative senior project Comfort, director J. D. Sacharok. Videographer for the summer camp Epic Adventurez. Recorded the camp’s theater workshops and role-‐playing events, and then edited the footage into videos that were uploaded online for promotional purposes.
Co-‐founded a WordPress blog for feminist media analysis, fatalfemmes.wordpress.com. Reviewed, deconstructed, and reported on developments in media and women’s activism.
Distributed film and video equipment to university students and faculty. Provided basic technical troubleshooting, checked out and returned reservations, and inventoried entire lot of equipment.
ORAL COMMUNICATION
Delivered presentation with a partner at the Pot of Gold workshop held by Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania. Led discussion about fostering media literacy in young girls.
Conducted research into documentary ethics related to the depiction of human trafficking in Russia. Presented final paper and findings to an audience of peers, grads, and faculty at Temple’s Global Conference.
