Nicolet's the exception—our standard spectral range is from 7400 to 350 cm- ' which includes critical parts of the far and near-IR range. Without this extended range, important absorbances are unavailable for quantitative or qualitative analysis. 6 A · ANALYTICAL CHEMISTRY, VOL. 64, NO. 1, JANUARY 1, 1992

For example, inorganics absorb below 400 cm- ' and the region above 4000 cm- ' is especially important for quantitative analysis of high concentrations.

Nicolet is able to control instrument performance because the critical spectrometer components are manufactured in-house. We grind, polish and coat our own beamsplitters to provide the widest spectral range and spectral purity available.

Be confident that the information you are given meets your needs. Why confine yourself to a system that has limited spectral range? To see the most complete FT-IR system available, contact Nicolet or circle the reader service number to receive more information.
