MAISON&OBJET ASIA SHOWCASES INNOVATIVE DESIGN SOLUTIONS

In 2016 MAISON&OBJET ASIA will return to Singapore from the 8th to the 11th of March for its third edition at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Center. An intelligent reflection of the ever-growing industry trends of the region, this show captures the spirit of a global hub where property developers, hoteliers, restaurateurs, interior designers and architects might gain deeper insight into the latest market developments in the region through a valuable and extensive network. The salon is growing and will reveal a greater focus on a targeted showcase in each of these key sectors.

MAISON&OBJET ASIA 2016 will also respond to the fast-moving hospitality industries of Asia-Pacific through attractive and captivating interior design brands, while providing inspiration and innovative design concepts. Projects for luxury and boutique hotels, haute cuisine and the spa experience are on the agenda, illustrating how techniques, materials and finished products converge to meet the evolving and adaptive requirements of high-end hoteliers and restaurateurs.

INSPIRATION

Sempre Café at M&O PARIS September 2015

With highly successful experiences at the September 2015 show of M&O PARIS, Eichholtz from The Netherlands and Sempre from Belgium will present thematic environments in two distinctive cafés at M&O ASIA 2016.

Each will singularly reflect their design philosophy, distinctive vision and exceptional craftsmanship.

CREATIVE DIRECTOR OF SEMPRE, GUST SEMPRÉ, EXPLAINS:

“The Sempre Café will act as an experience room, where we offer different ways to ‘breathe’ the Sempre philosophy. All your senses will be excited and many new emotions will be awakened.

You will forget that you are at a trade exhibition and you will feel like coming home to the Sempre-house where in each corner, you will find something new and unknown in a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. It will be the perfect spot to get inspired for future projects.

So come along and visit our café, where you can have a drink in our distinct handmade glassware. We do not stop after designing and producing. The most important part is ‘using’.”

FOUNDER OF SUPERMAMA, EDWIN LOW SAYS:

«Supermama will present a thematic retail-cum-exhibition project ‘Blueprint for a Boutique Hotel Shop’ at MAISON&OBJET ASIA 2016. The space draws on research conducted by Supermama on the various elements of a boutique hotel room as well as the material aspect of a hotel, such as its vision and cultural significance of its locality.

The results of the research will be translated into a publication and an exhibition that offers a practical breakdown of the exhibited objects, including the brand, manufacturer, material and purchasing information. The accompanying retail section will see a curated display of contemporary gift items and souvenirs, with Singapore providing the context for the curation.

The entire project aims to offer hoteliers a method of creating boutique hotel gift shops.»
