1. Indicele produciei industriale Indicele brut al produciei industriale n luna noiembrie 2008comparativ cu luna precedent, a nregistrat o scdere pe ansamblu cu 11,0%, determinat de scderea produciei n industria extractiv (-8,2%) i industriaprelucrtoare (-12,1%). n industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i approducia a crescut cu 1,8%. Ramurile industriei prelucrtoare ale cror indici brui ai produciei au sczut semnificativ au fost: metalurgie (-33,3%), substane i produse chimice (-30,3%), mijloace de transport rutier (-28,1%), fabricarea materialelor de construcii i altor produse din minerale nemetalice (-18,8%), produse din cauciuc i mase plastice (-16,7%) i maini i aparate electrice (-16,6%). n aceast lun nu s-au nregistrat creteri ale indicelui brut al produciei industrialepentru niciuna dintre ramurile industrieiprelucrtoare. Pe marile grupe industriale se observ c indicele brut al produciei industriale a sczut astfel: industria bunurilor intermediare (-20,6%), industria bunurilor de capital (-13,8%), industria bunurilor de folosin ndelungat (-13,2%), industria bunurilor de uz curent (-3,1%) i industria energetic (-2,8%). n luna noiembrie 2008 comparativ cu noiembrie 2007, indicele brut al produciei industriale a nregistrat o scdere cu 11,5% determinat de scderea produciei n toate cele trei sectoare industriale: industria extractiv (-4,6%), industria prelucrtoare (-12,8%) i industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap (-2,2%). Ramurile industriale care au contribuit substanial la scderea indicelui brut al industriei prelucrtoare au fost: metalurgie (-43,9%), produse textile (-36,2%),substane i produse chimice (-33,6%), mijloace de transport rutier (-32,4%) i maini i aparate electrice (-31,3%). De asemenea, s-au nregistrat i creteri semnificative ale produciei n ramurileindustriale: edituri, poligrafie i reproducerea pe supori a nregistrrilor (+35,5%) i produse din tutun (+28,9%).

1. Industrial production index

Gross industrial production index of November 2008 as against the previous month registered a decrease per total by 11.0% due to the production decrease in mining and quarrying (-8.2%) and in manufacturing (-12.1%). In electric and thermal energy, gas and water sector production increased by 1.8%. The manufacturing industrial brancheswhose gross industrial production indeces meningful decreased were: metallurgy(-33.3%), chemical substances and products(-30.3%), means of road transport (-28.1%), construction materials manufacturing and other products of non metallic minerals (-18.8%), rubber and plastics products (-16.7%) and electric machinery and appliances (-16.6%). This month gross industrial production index increases have not been registered for none of the manufacturing industrial branches. By main industrial groups we could see that the gross industrial production indexdecreased like this: intermediate goods industry (-20,6%), capital goods industry(-13.8%), durable goods industry (-13.2%), current use goods industry (-3.1%) and energy industry (-2.8%). In November 2008 as compared to November 2007 gross industrial production index registered a decrease of 11.5% supported by the production decrease in all the three industrial sectors: mining and quarrying (-4.6%), manufacturing (-12.8%)and electric and thermal energy, gas and water sector (-2.2%). The industrial branches which contributed substantially to the decrease of the manufacturing gross index were: metallurgy (-43.9%), textile products (-36.2%), chemical substances and products (-33.6%), means of road transport (-32.4%) and electric machinery and appliances (-31.3%).Meaningful production increases were also registered in the industrial branches:publishing houses, polygraphy, recording reproductible registrations (+35.5%) and tobacco products (+28.9%).

Pe marile grupe industriale cretere aproduciei s-a nregistrat n industria bunurilor de uz curent (+4,4%), iar scderi ale produciei s-au nregistrat n industria bunurilor de folosin ndelungat (-24,1%), industria bunurilor intermediare(-21,3%), industria bunurilor de capital (-20,5%) i industria energetic (-5,2%). n perioada 1.I-30.XI.2008, comparativcu perioada corespunztoare din anul precedent, indicele brut al produciei industriale a fost mai mare cu 2,5%, cretere susinut de toate cele trei sectoare industriale: industria extractiv (+0,2%), industria prelucrtoare (+2,4%) i industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap (+7,6%). n industria prelucrtoare cele mai mari creteri ale produciei s-au nregistrat n ramurile: edituri, poligrafie i reproducerea pe supori a nregistrrilor (+31,4%), produse din tutun (+27,9%) i echipamente pentru radio, televiziune i comunicaii (+11,3%). Impactul creterilor menionate asupra creterii produciei pe ansamblul industriei prelucrtoare a fost estompat de scderile nregistrate n alte ramuri industriale, precum: produse textile (-21,8%), maini i aparate electrice (-14,5%) i celuloz, hrtie i produse din hrtie (-10,0%). Pe marile grupe industriale cele mai mari creteri s-au nregistrat n industria bunurilor de uz curent (+7,6%) urmat de industria bunurilor de capital (+4,1%) i industria energetic (+1,3%). n industria bunurilor intermediare i industria bunurilor de folosin ndelungat producia a sczut cu 1,1% respectiv cu 4,9%. In manufacturing the highest production increases were registered in the industrial branches: publishing houses, polygraphy, recording reproductible registrations (+31.4%), tobacco products (+27.9%) and radio, TV and communication equipment (+11.3%). The impact of significant growths mentioned above over the growth per total manufacturing was diminished by the decreases registered in other manufacturing branches: textile products (-21.8%), electric machinery and apparatus (-14.5%) and pulp, paper and paper products (-10.0%). By main industrial groups the highest growths were registered in current use goods industry (+7.6%) followed by capital goods industry (+4.1%) and energy industry (+1.3%). In intermediate goods industry and in durable goods industry production decreased by 1.1% respectively by 4.9%. Adjusted index of industrial production according to the number of working days decreased in November2008 as against the previous month by7.5% due to the production decrease in manufacturing (-8.5%) and in mining and quarrying (-5.0%). In electric and thermal energy, gas and water industry production increased by 2.5%. In manufacturing the industrial branches whose production meaningfuly decreased were: metallurgy (-30.7%), chemical substances and products (-29.4%) and means of road transport (-20.8%). Creteri semnificative ale produciei industriale pot fi menionate n ramurile industriale: edituri, poligrafie i reproducerea pe supori a nregistrrilor (+39,2%) i produse din tutun (+31,5%). Pe marile grupe industriale cretere a produciei s-a nregistrat n industria bunurilor de uz curent (+6,9%). n cazul celorlalte mari grupe industriale producia a sczut astfel: industria bunurilor de folosin ndelungat (-19,6%), industria bunurilor intermediare (-19,1%), industria bunurilor de capital (-16,5%) i industria energetic (-3,1%). n perioada 1.I-30.XI.2008, comparativ cu perioada corespunztoare din anul precedent, indicele ajustat al produciei industriale a crescut cu 2,6%, datorit creterii produciei n toate cele trei sectoare industriale: industria extractiv(+0,4%), industria prelucrtoare (+2,4%) i industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap (+7,8%). n cadrul industriei prelucrtoare, ramurile industriale cu cele mai importante creteri au fost:edituri, poligrafie i reproducerea pe supori a nregistrrilor (+31,3%), produse din tutun (+27,9%) i echipamente pentru radio, televiziune i comunicaii (+11,9%).Scderi importante ale indicelui ajustat al produciei industriale s-au nregistrat n ramurile industriale: produse textile(-21,9%), maini i aparate electrice

equipment (+6.3%). The evolution of adjusted index of industrial production by main industrial groups was the following: energy industry(-0.9%), current use goods industry (-1.0%), durable goods industry (-6.0%), capital goods industry (-9.2%) andintermediate goods industry (-18.3%). Compared with corresponding month of previous year in November 2008adjusted index of industrial production decreased by 8.3% that decrease being determined by the production decrease in all the three industrial sectors: mining and quarrying (-2.1%), manufacturing (-9.4%)and electric and thermal energy, gas and water industry (-1.7%). In manufacturing the industrial branches whose production meaningfuly decreased were: metallurgy (-42.0%), chemical substances and products (-32.9%) and textile products (-30.2%). Meaningful increases of the industrial production can be mentioned in the industrial branches: publishing houses, polygraphy, recording reproductible registrations (+39.2%) and tobacco products (+31.5%). By main industrial groups production increase was registered in current use goods industry (+6.9%). The production of the other main industrial groups decreased as follows: durable goods industry (-19.6%), intermediate goods industry (-19.1%), capital goods industry (-16.5%) and energy industry (-3.1%). During the period 1.I-30.XI.2008 in comparison with the corresponding period of previous year adjusted index of industrial production increased by 2.6% due to the production increase in all the three industrial sectors: mining and quarrying (+0.4%), manufacturing (+2.4%) and electric and thermal energy, gas and water industry(+7.8%). In manufacturing the industrial branches with the most important growths were: publishing houses, polygraphy, recording reproductible registrations (+31.3%), tobacco products (+27.9%) and radio, TV and communication equipment (+11.9%). Important diminutions of the adjusted index of industrial production were registered in the industrial branches: textile products (-21.9%), electric machinery and apparatus (-14.7%)

Fa de perioada corespunztoare din anul precedent, n perioada 1.I-30.XI.2008, productivitatea muncii n industrie a nregistrat o cretere cu 6,2%, cretere influenat de dinamica pozitiv a productivitii muncii n dou din cele trei sectoare industriale: industria prelucrtoare (+6,3%) i industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap (+11,5%). n industria extractiv, productivitatea muncii a sczut cu 0,1%. Ramurile cu cea mai mare productivitate a muncii din cadrul industriei prelucrtoare au fost: produse din tutun (+40,1%), edituri, poligrafie i reproducerea pe supori a nregistrrilor (+34,8%), pielrie i nclminte (+24,9%) i aparatur i instrumente medicale, de precizie, optice i ceasornicrie (+22,3%), iar ramurile cu cea mai sczut productivitate a muncii au fost: maini i aparate electrice (-20,7%), produse textile (-9,2%), metalurgie (-7,9%) i celuloz, hrtie i produse din hrtie (-6,4%).

The industrial branches with the lowest labor productivity in manufacturing were: metallurgy (-40.5%), electric machinery and apparatus (-33.9%) and means of road transport (-32.0%) and the industrial branches with the highest labor productivity were: publishing houses, polygraphy, recording reproductible registrations (+40.6%), tobacco products (+36.3%) and leather goods and footwear (+18.5%). During the period 1.I-30.XI.2008 compared with the corresponding period of previous year labor productivity in industry registered a growth by 6.2%, that growth being influenced by the productivity increase in two from the three industrial sectors: manufacturing (+6.3%) and electric and thermal energy, gas and water industry (+11.5%). In mining and quarrying labor productivity decreased by 0.1%. The industrial branches with the highest labor productivity in manufacturing were: tobacco products (+40.1%), publishing houses, polygraphy, recording and copying (+34.8%), leather goods and footwear (+24.9%) and medical, precision, optical, watchmaking instruments and apparatus (+22.3%) and the industrial branches with the lowest labor productivity were: electric machinery and apparatus (-20.7%), textile products (-9.2%), metallurgy (-7.9%) and pulp, paper and paper products (-6.4%).

Indicii cifrei de afaceri din industrie Comparativ cu luna precedent, n luna noiembrie 2008 indicele volumului cifrei de afaceri totale (piaa intern i piaa extern) a unitilor industriale a fost mai mic cu 10,8%, din cauza scderii nregistrate n industria prelucrtoare (-14,2%). n industria extractiv i industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap indicele volumului cifrei de afaceri totale a crescut cu 3,8% respectiv cu 12,4%. Ramurile industriei prelucrtoare care au determinat n mod deosebit scderea cifrei de afaceri totale au fost: metalurgie (-36,5%), fabricarea materialelor de construcii i a altor produse din minerale nemetalice (-27,5%) i mijloace de transport rutier (-19,4%). Creterea cifrei de afaceri totale poate fi menionat numai pentru ramura industrial maini i echipamente (exclusiv echipamente electrice i optice) (+3,1%). Pe marile grupe industriale evoluia indicelui volumului cifrei de afaceri totale se prezint astfel: industria energetic (+5,6%), industria bunurilor de folosin ndelungat (-7,1%), industria bunurilor de uz curent (-8,0%), industria bunurilor de capital (-9,8%) i industria bunurilor intermediare (-23,2%). Comparativ cu luna corespunztoare din anul precedent, n luna noiembrie 2008 indicele volumului cifrei de afaceri totale (piaa intern i piaa extern) a unitilor industriale a fost mai mic cu 4,0%, scderea fiind determinat de dou din cele trei sectoare industriale: industria extractiv (-4,9%) i industria prelucrtoare (-5,9%). n industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap indicele volumului cifrei de afaceri totale a crescut cu 9,4%. n sectorul industriei prelucrtoare cele mai mari scderi ale volumului cifrei de afaceri totale au avut loc n urmtoarele ramuri industriale: metalurgie (-43,6%), produse textile (-32,2%), mijloace de transport rutier (-27,1%) i substane i produse chimice (-26,9%). In mining and quarrying and in electric and thermal energy, gas and water industry total turnover volume index increased by 3.8% respectively by 12.4%. Manufacturing industrial branches which especially determined total turnover decrease were: metallurgy (-36.5%), construction materials manufacturing and other products of non metallic minerals (-27.5%) and means of road transport (-19.4%). A total turnover rise can be mentioned only for the industrial branche machinery and equipment (except electrical and optical equipments) (+3.1%). The evolution of total turnover volume index in industry by main industrial groups was as follows: energy industry (+5.6%), durable goods industry (-7.1%), current use goods industry (-8.0%), capital goods industry (-9.8%) and intermediate goods industry (-23.2%). Cretere a indicelui valoric al comenzilor noi poate fi menionat numai pentru ramura industrial maini i echipamente (+9,9%). n ceea ce privete marile grupe industriale, indicele valoric al comenzilor noi a evoluat n felul urmtor: industria bunurilor intermediare (-29,0%), industria bunurilor de folosin ndelungat (-10,3%), industria bunurilor de capital (-8,7%) i industria bunurilor de uz curent (-1,0%).

Pe sectoare de activitate, preurile produselor din industria extractiv i cele din industria prelucrtoare au nregistrat o scdere cu 3,8%, respectiv cu 2,7%, iar cele la energie electric i termic, gaze i ap o cretere cu 0,2%. n industria prelucrtoare, creteri semnificative de preuri s-au nregistrat la produsele din ramurile: aparate i instrumente medicale, de precizie, optice i ceasornicrie (+2,4%), pielrie i nclminte (+2,3%), articole de mbrcminte (+2,2%), prelucrarea lemnului i a produselor din lemn (exclusiv producia de mobil) (+1,8%), mijloace de transport rutier (+1,6%), construcii metalice i produse din metal (exclusiv maini, utilaje i instalaii) (+1,4%), maini i echipamente (+1,2%), celuloz, hrtie i produse din hrtie (+1,0%). Scderi de preuri au avut loc la produsele din ramurile: prelucrarea ieiului, cocsificarea crbunelui i tratarea combustibililor nucleari (-15,0%), metalurgie (-6,3%), substane i produse chimice (-5,5%), produse din cauciuc i mase plastice (-0,3%), mobilier i alte activiti industriale neclasificate n alt parte (-0,2%), materiale de construcii i alte produse din minerale nemetalice (-0,1%). La energie electric i termic, gaze i ap, creteri de pre se constat la: producia, transportul i distribuia de energie electric i termic, gaze i ap (+0,3%). +1,1% pentru produsele din cadrul grupei bunurilor de capital;

-0,1% pentru produsele din cadrul grupei bunurilor de folosin ndelungat;

+1,2% pentru produsele din cadrul grupei bunurilor de uz curent;

-6,6% pentru produsele din cadrul industriei energetice.

5. Industrial production price indices In November 2008, compared with October 2008, the industrial producer prices registered a total decrease of 2.5% (domestic and non-domestic market). By sectors of activity, mining and quarrying and manufacturing product prices registered a decrease of 3.8% respectively of 2.7% while electric and thermal energy, gas and water product prices registered an increase of 0.2%. In manufacturing meaningful price increases were registered for products from the industrial branches: medical, precision, optical watchmaking instruments and apparatus (+2.4%), leather goods and footwear (+2.3%), clothing products (+2.2%), wood and wooden products processing (excluding furniture production) (+1.8%), means of road transport (+1.6%), metallic constructions and metal products (excluding machinery, outfits and installations) (+1.4%), machinery and equipment (+1.2%), pulp, paper and paper products (+1.0%). Price decreases were registered for products from the industrial branches: petroleum processing, coal coking and treatment of nuclear fuel (-15.0%), metallurgy (-6.3%), chemical substances and products (-5.5%), rubber and plastic products (-0.3%), furniture and other industrial activities not elsewhere classified (-0.2%), construction materials manufacturing and other non-metallic mineral products (-0.1%). For electric and thermal energy, gas and water price increases are experienced with regard to: production and distribution of electric and thermal power, gas and water (+0.3%). By main industrial groups, the following increases in prices were registered:

Pe marile grupe industriale creteri semnificative de preuri se remarc la produsele industriei bunurilor intermediare (+19,4%), industriei bunurilor de uz curent (+12,6%) i industriei bunurilor de capital (+12,0%). Creteri de preuri sub nivelul nregistrat pe total se constat la:

produsele din cadrul industriei bunurilor de folosin ndelungat +8,5%;

produsele din cadrul industriei energetice +3,7%.

Principalele resurse de energie primar Principalele resurse de energie primar, n perioada 1.I-30.XI.2008, au totalizat 37388,2 mii tone echivalent petrol (tep), n scdere cu 272,0 mii tep fa de aceeai perioad a anului 2007. Producia intern a nsumat 22324,5 mii tep, n cretere cu 0,9% fa de aceeai perioad a anului precedent, iar importul a fost de 15063,7 mii tep, n scdere cu 3,0%. Resursele de energie electric, n perioada 1.I-30.XI.2008, au fost de 59873,0 milioane kWh, n cretere cu 4080,3 milioane kWh (+7,3%) fa de aceeai perioad a anului 2007. Creterea resurselor de energie electric s-a datorat n principal creterii produciei cu 4484,8 milioane kWh (+8,2%). n termocentrale producia a sczut cu 1186,8 milioane kWh (-3,5%), n timp ce n hidrocentrale i n centrale nuclearoelectrice producia a crescut cu 1416,8 milioane kWh (+9,9%) respectiv cu 4254,8 milioane kWh (+71,9%). Consumul final de energie electric n perioada 1.I-30.XI.2008 a fost de 48647,4 milioane kWh, cu 5,1% mai mare fa de aceeai perioad a anului 2007; iluminatul public a nregistrat o cretere cu 10,3%, iar consumul populaiei a crescut cu 6,6%. Exportul de energie electric a crescut cu 1700,9 milioane kWh, respectiv cu 57,2% fa de perioada 1.I-30.XI.2007.

6. Main resources of primary energy During the period 1.I-30.XI.2008, as against the same period of 2007, the main resources of primary energy amounted to 37388.2 thou tonnes of oil equivalent (toe), decreasing by 272.0 thou toe. Domestic production amounted to 22324.5 thou toe, increasing by 0.9% as against the same period of 2007 and import was 15063.7 thou toe decreasing by 3.0%. Electricity resources during the period 1.I-30.XI.2008 amounted to 59873.0 million kWh, increasing by 4080.3 million kWh (+7.3%) as compared to the same period of 2007. The increase of electricity resources was based mainly on the production increase with 4484.8 million kWh (+8.2%). The production from thermo-power stations decreased by 1186.8 million kWh (-3.5%) while hydro-power stations and nuclearo-power stations production increased by 1416.8 million kWh (+9.9%) respectively by 4254.8 million kWh (+71.9%). During the period 1.I-30.XI.2008, the final electricity consumption amounted to 48647.4 million kWh, by 5.1% more than in the same period of 2007; public lighting increased by 10.3% and population consumption increased by 6.6%. The export of electricity increased by 1700.9 million kWh respectively by 57.2% as against the period 1.I-30.XI.2007.

Analiznd structura importurilor CIF de produse industriale realizate n luna septembrie 2008 se observ c petrolul brut i gazele naturale dein ponderea cea mai mare cu o valoare de 578,5 milioane euro urmate de mijloace de transport rutier cu 563,8 milioane euro i de produse ale industriei chimice, fibre i fire sintetice i artificiale cu 525,9 milioane euro. n luna septembrie 2008, comparativ cu septembrie 2007, cele mai mari creteri ale valorii importului s-au nregistrat la produse de cocserie, produse obinute prin rafinarea petrolului, combustibili nucleari (+209,5%), urmate de petrol brut i gaze naturale (+66,5%) i de produse ale industriei metalurgice (+53,2%). n perioada 1.I-30.IX.2008, comparativ cu aceeai perioad din anul precedent, cele mai mari creteri ale valorii importului s-au nregistrat la produse de cocserie, produse obinute prin rafinarea petrolului, combustibili nucleari (+83,8%), urmate de petrol brut i gaze naturale (+50,5%) i de produse alimentare i buturi (+36,6%).

Foreign trade Analyzing the structure of exports FOB of industrial products achieved in September 2008, one can notice that basic metals holds the highest weight with 319.0 million, followed by electric machinery and apparatus 302.2 million and means of road transport 289.1 million. During the period 1.I-30.IX.2008 compared with the same period of previous year the highest increases of export value have been registred to: office machinery and computers (+135.8%) followed by electric and thermal energy, gas and water (+122.1%) and tobacco products (+94.9%). Analyzing the structure of imports CIF of industrial products registered in September 2008 one can notice that crude petroleum and natural gas holds the highest weight with 578.5 million followed by means of road transport 563.8 million and chemicals, chemical products and man-made fibres 525.9 million. In September 2008 compared with September 2007 the highest increases of import value have been registred to coke, refined petroleum products and nuclear fuel (+209.5%) followed by crude petroleum and natural gas (+66.5%) and basic metals (+53.2%). During the period 1.I-30.IX.2008 compared with the same period of previous year the highest increases of export value have been registred to coke, refined petroleum products and nuclear fuel (+83.8%) followed by crude petroleum and natural gas (+50,5%) and food products and beverages (+36,6%).

Manufacturing holds the highest weight (1274.5 thou persons) followed by electric and thermal energy, gas and water sector (121.7 thou persons) and mining and quarrying (81.2 thou persons). Regarding industrial branches, the first place is held by food and beverages industry with 187.0 thou persons followed by clothing products industry with a number of employees of 179.8 thou persons and electric machinery and apparatus industry with 91.8 thou persons.

Ctiguri salariale Ctigul salarial mediu brut din industrie n luna noiembrie 2008 a fost de 1638 lei (RON), iar cel net de 1224 lei (RON), n scdere cu 0,1% fa de luna octombrie 2008, dar n cretere cu 18,5% fa de noiembrie 2007. Cel mai mare ctig salarial mediu brut s-a nregistrat n industria extractiv de 2728 lei (RON), urmat de cel din industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap de 2763 lei (RON), cel mai mic ctig salarial mediu brut obinndu-se n industria prelucrtoare de 1452 lei (RON), respectiv n ramurile: articole de mbrcminte 983 lei (RON), pielrie i nclminte 1056 lei (RON) i prelucrarea lemnului i a produselor din lemn (exclusiv mobila) 1123 lei (RON). n perioada 1.I-30.XI.2008, comparativ cu aceeai perioad din anul precedent, ctigul salarial mediu net a crescut cu 20,8%.

Earnings In November 2008, gross average earning in industry was RON 1638 while the net one was RON 1224 decreasing with 0.1% as against october 2008 but increasing by 18.5% as against november 2007. The highest gross average earning was registered in mining and quarrying RON 2728 followed by electric and thermal energy, gas and water industry RON 2763, the lowest gross average earning being obtained in manufacturing RON 1452 respectively in the industrial branches: clothing articles RON 983, leather goods and footwear RON 1056 and wood and wood products processing (except furniture) RON 1123. During the period 1.I-30.XI.2008 compared with the corresponding period of previous year net average earning increased by 20,8%.
